Patent fields in patent search results

What patent fields are shown in the API calls? It would be of interest to filter the results, e.g. by date, country, assignee, disease, etc. Alternatively it would be of interest to query for concepts in certain patent fields, e.g. to search for targets but only in the claims, or in the title...

Thanks for these great comments and just to answer one of them as others add more info

We will be further adding chemistry search on patents in our next preview set of calls after this release so will support the URI searches that are available in the rest of Open PHACTS and you could create a workflow as well

Cheers

Hi Everyone,

I have tried all Patent related API calls and they all worked with different try-outs.

I have the following questions:

  • on the API: Patent Information: info provided is fairly limited: only number, classification. No Assignee? claims?
  • on the API: Patents for Compound: List & Count. works with a SCHEMBL identifier, not a SMILES as with previous calls. Which other identifiers are possible? Is there a mapping to other chemistry?\
  • on the API: Patents for Disease: List & Count. works with a MeSH identifier, not a URI as usual with previous calls. Which other identifiers are possible?
  • on the API: Patents for Target: List & Count. only works with a GENE SYMBOL, not a URI as usual with previous calls. Which other identifiers are possible?
  • on the API: Patent GetEntities gets info about targets, molecules, diseases. How do we link from those to other data?

Thank you for your comments,

Jean-Marc

Hi Jean-Marc,

The links below have more info on the available calls and fields:

and

Date and country filters are easy to implement. The same applies to specific patent fields. These filters can be applied either in the API call or as a post-processing step down the the line (e.g. in KNIME or PP).

The assignee information is not included in the RDF.
